12 of The World’s Biggest Websites Looked Like at the Launched

Even the greatest among us had humble beginnings. This is just as true for websites, however, as it is for people. Even online giants like Amazon, YouTube, Facebook and Twitter were once itty-bitty websites with monochrome homepages, poorly-thought-out logos and boring or stark turn-of-the-century designs. Afros Turned Into Flowery Galaxies To Make Black Women Proud Of TheirAfrican Heritage

Pierre Jean-Louis, a visual artist from US, creates mesmerizing portraits of black women by transforming their hair into flowery galaxies. By turning their Afros into works of art in his series, “Black Girl Magic,” Jean-Louis wants to inspire black women to embrace their African heritage.

“I started creating these beautiful pictures last year around September when I started following some amazing accounts on Instagram [which have] nothing but beautiful black queens rocking their natural hair,” Jean-Louis told The Huffington Post. “I was amazed to see how so many black women are finally letting go of their insecurities and accept themselves for who they are.

“I want the whole world to know that Mother Nature is actually black and we wouldn’t be here without her. I want every young black queen to remember that.”
