Photographs Of Forest Paths To Another World

Photographs Of Forest Paths To Another World

There is much poetry and prose being written about the selection of paths; so much, so that we look at every path with eyes numbed by nostalgia. However, we are not going to wax poetic about paths here but actually talk about the way certain paths look so lovely when photographed. Especially those places that are not usually tread upon or those that are not run of the mill like for instance, forest paths. There is something so poignant and mysterious about the path that appears in the middle of a forest where one would not expect it to be. If you think that only forest paths look amazing when captured on a camera, then you are wrong. Just check out some examples of wet and wild river photography to fascinate you and you will know that Mother Nature has given us bounty beyond our realm of imagination.

The Sensational World Of Snow Photography

The Sensational World Of Snow Photography

In today’s world where almost everyone has access to one or more cameras on the go, we have started taking photography as an art for granted but the fact is that a good photo is still a work of art. It is a matter of getting the composition of the lighting and shadows as well as the colors in the photo right. While it is possible for many to click a passable photograph, getting to click one that is exceptional can take a lot more than good equipment and chance. Many good photographers take clicking pictures of nature as a big challenge and this can indeed be one. The vistas of nature like snow can be both fascinating as well as fantastic to click but it may not be difficult. You will understand what we mean when you look at fascinating photographs of forest paths to another world.

40 Joyful Simple Things In Life Photography Ideas

40 Joyful Simple Things In Life Photography Ideas

There is so much joy and beauty around us but we often overlook it being mired in the grind of daily life. It is only when you move away or travel or see it from a different point of view that you realize that there are so many joyful simple things in life. If you are keen on photography, you can be sure that the lens of the camera will definitely give you a different perspective on mundane things and make you see the joy in the simple things of life. For instance, day and night are things that we take for granted but it is only when you look at dark, interesting and mysterious night photography does one realize that there is so much more than to this time of the day than sleep and rest. There is something almost magical about the lenses of a camera that gives you a point of view that is different from the mundane and we do need this way of looking at things once in a while. That is why the next time you see something that makes you want to smile, we suggest that you look at it from another point of view – that of a photographer and you will have a joyful memory to cherish.

Day And Night on a Little Planet

This extraordinary image resembling a tiny planet is actually a digitally warped and stitched mosaic of a panorama captured during the course of a 33-hour-long photo experiment conducted by photographer György Soponyai at the Hungarian Astronomical Association Astro Camp, near Tarján.

For those who aren’t familiar, these kind of “little planet” photos are constructed by taking the ends of a 360-degree panorama, wrapping them around and joining them seamlessly. The effect results in the creation of a little planet, often with the nadir (the ground in this case) at the center of the projection and the zenith (the sky) surrounding the planet on all sides.

The Elusive Gigantic Jets of Lightning

The most common kind of lightning observed from earth discharges from cloud to cloud or from clouds toward the ground. The more elusive forms, called sprites, take place high above thunderstorm clouds and are visible as streaks of red. Even rarer are those that take place between clouds and the ionosphere where the electric potential is hundreds of kilovolts higher than earth's surface. They are called gigantic jets and they are extremely powerful. While a typical lightning strike may travel less than ten kilometers, gigantic jets have been observed to shoot vertically up for more than 70 km.

Along with sprites and blue jets, gigantic jets belong to a class of exotic forms of upper-atmosphere lightning phenomenon known as “transient luminous event” (TLE), so called because they lack several characteristics of the more familiar tropospheric lightning.
